Creating your EPM Deployment Plan

Abstract

It is common for the uninitiated to think of deploying enterprise project management and installing enterprise project management software like Microsoft Project Server as synonymous.  Nothing could be further from the truth.

So much of successfully deploying Project Server is not technology oriented and often these elements do not show up on EPM deployment plans.

This session will look at what belongs in your EPM deployment schedule.  Presented by Chris Vandersluis who is a long standing Microsoft Partner and the author of the “From the Trenches” column on the Project Server section of Microsoft’s TechNet site, we’ll look at the elements of your EPM deployment schedule that need to be addressed.

We’ll address:

Ø  How to assemble an EPM Deployment team

Ø  How to set your business objectives

Ø  How to effectively start designing your EPM processes

Ø  What EPM will mean to you when deploying your software

Ø  Making sure that Project Server is selected for the right reasons

Ø  Proving the design and deploying the production system

Ø  What to do once that system is deployed
